Vito is a feisty little pig bull that came to NLOL under curious circumstances. A friend of the rescue found him in a recently vacated apartment -- her tenants had left him behind when they moved! This is becoming more and more common as the foreclosure rate rises and pet-friendly rentals become harder to find. Vito had been alone without food or water for four days when he was discovered, but, as a true pit bull, his misfortune did not seem to faze him one bit! After a hefty meal and many bowls of water (and a few trips outside) he was back to normal again.
Little Vito is currently living in an experienced foster home with NLOL alum Karma and learning the ropes of how to be a good puppy. He is getting crate-training down and will greatly benefit from some formal obedience classes - he is very biddable with food, although sometimes has a hard time containing himself when he sees cheese or peanut butter! This little spark plug will require a dedicated adoptive home (strong preference to pit bull experienced adopters) with the time, energy, and perseverance to train and love him as he deserves. He gets along well with his female foster sister and would likely do well with a playful female dog. Cats are unknown, but he would likely chase them -- until he got a faceful of claws!
